SPIRITUALLY, each must be able to articulate their salvation testimony and be a Christian of proven character with an expressed desire toward spiritual growth and maturity, including a rudimentary understanding of worship. Applicants need not be members.
MUSICALLY, each must have basic chord knowledge. Ability to read music is a plus, but good ear skills are sufficient. Ability to keep time and process syncopated rhythms is a must.
Commitment to this ministry includes practices held twice a week in addition to playing Sunday morning. Practices are Thursday night, sometimes Saturdays and Sunday morning before the service. Punctuality and dedication are expected. Our ministry team will meet individually with those needing extra help to work on parts. It is preferred that musicians be actively pursuing private instruction in their instrument.
OTHER WORSHIP ARTS
We also want to encourage the use of other art forms in our services.
If you paint, dance, draw, do set construction or can work with fabrics we want to involve you too.
TECHNICAL
We are looking for sound board operators, video/computer operators and people to help with set-up and tear down before and after services.
Requirements involve basic knowledge of desired field and an ability to quickly learn and retain new knowledge. For each of the above jobs, reliability and punctuality are essential. You need not be a member of the church, though a profession of faith in Christ is desirable.
